IV56801: REDUCEVG: THE DEFAULT STORAGE POOL "ROOTVG" CAN NOT BE REMOVED

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In certains circumstances reducevg of rootvg will failed
  with the following message:
  
  $ reducevg rootvg hdisk0
  The default storage pool "rootvg" can not be removed.
  To change the default storage pool, run chsp with the
  -default option.
  

Local fix

• Create new Storage Pool, then assign it as default
  Storage
  Pool ( chsp -default <new SP>)
  

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• Alter the default storage pool method algorithm for enumerating
  physical volumes for a given volume group, ensuring it picks
  up failing/failed PVs which the lsdev/lsvg have identified as
  DEFINED/MISSING, respectively.
