APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • installing TWS 9.1 is not possible if a DBCS string is
specified as "Company name". He needed to use a single byte
chars string in order to successfully install TWS.

Local fix

  • Use a single byte chars string in order to successfully install
    TWS.

Problem summary

  • TWS Installation generates corrupted SQL files when a COMPANY
name DBCS is specified. This causes the failure in the DB
    creation.
The affected scenario is then only the Fresh MDM and BKM
    installation.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be delivered in 9.1 FP1 installation code.
The defect is present also in previus installation versions.
For that versions it is not possible to deliver a fix, because
(differently from 9.1) the SETUP is not able to re-install
    the base level.

Temporary fix
