Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users running on MQ 7.0, MQ 7.1 and MQ 7.5 using
    channels may face this issue.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
On a channel if we issue start channel after stop channel before
the stop channel thread has completed its processing, the
start channel status will not be saved. Hence when the queue
manager is restarted the channel moves into STOPPED state rather
than INACTIVE state as the channel status
    was saved during start channel.

Problem conclusion

  • The code changes made will call the save channel status function
to make sure that the start channel status has been saved when
the start channel command is issued. This channel status will be
remembered during the next restart of the queue manager.
