Error description
Error Message: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError is reported for libfontmanager.so when the JVM initialised with the property com.sun.management.jmxremote on AIX platform . Stack Trace: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: fontmanager (Not found in com.ibm.oti.vm.bootstrap.library.path) java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibraryWithPath java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibraryWithClassLoader java.lang.System.loadLibrary sun.font.FontManager$1.run java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged sun.font.FontManager.<clinit> java.lang.J9VMInternals.initializeImpl java.lang.J9VMInternals.initialize .
Local fix
This issue can be worked around by updating the system environment variable "LIBPATH" with the complete location of the libfontmanager's dependent libraries.
Problem summary
The problem is caused when the JVM fails to maintain the LIBPATH updates that are made during the JVM initialisation.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 6 SR15 FP1 (6.0.15.1) 6 R1 SR7 FP1 (6.1.7.1) 7 SR6 FP1 (7.0.6.1) 7 R1 SR1 (7.1.1.0) . The JVM has been updated to correctly maintain the LIBPATH updates as part of the JVM initilisation.
