Error description
We have a server running with the additional disk feature. C-drive is on esx datastore UWV-N12-OTSB001 and E-drive is on esx datastore UWV-N12-OTSB003. When creating an image both this are stored to UWV-N12-OTSB002. . When we restore the image, both disks are on esx datastore UWV-N12-OTSB001. In maximo the reference of the disk is still pointing to esx datastore UWV-N12-OTSB003
Local fix
Problem summary
During restoring of a Server from a Saved Image which have additional disks, the additional disks are getting provisioned to the root disk datastore
Problem conclusion
The fix now addresses the problem that the additional disks are now getting provisioned to the original datastore where the additional disk was originally provisioned or another datastore in the Storage Pool. This behavior was seen and has been fixed on the VMware/ESX platforms only.
Temporary fix
