    If security manager was turned on, the access to the following
    properties will fail:
    1. com.ibm.crypto.provider.AESNITrace
    2. com.ibm.crypto.provider.doAESInHardware
    

Local fix

  • Add corresponding permission to java.policy file.
    

Problem summary

  • The problem happens because the properties were not read in
    doPrivileged blocks
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR6 FP1
    6.0.1 SR7 FP1
    6.0.0 SR15 FP1
    5.0.0 SR16 FP5
    .
    A fix is made to IBMJCEProvider to read the properties in the
    doPrivileged block. The fix is also made for internal
    properties.
    The associated Hursley CMVC defect is 200997
    The associated Austin CMVC defect is 114938
    JVMs affected: Java 5.0, Java 6.0, Java 626 and Java 7.0
    The fix was delivered for Java 5.0 SR16FP5, Java 6.0 SR15FP1,
    Java 626 SR7FP1 and Java 7.0 SR6FP1
    The affected jar is "ibmjceprovider.jar".
    The build level of this jar for the affected releases is
    "20131024"
