When mutual authentication was enabled, the incorrectly
truncated microsecond field will lead to incorrect response
token.

Problem summary

  • The problem happens because the microsecond of the KerberosTime
was not included in return value of getMicroSecond() and
greaterThan().

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
   7 R1 SR1       (7.1.1.0)
   7    SR6 FP1   (7.0.6.1)
   6 R1 SR7 FP1   (6.1.7.1)
   6    SR15 FP1  (6.0.15.1)
   5.0  SR16 SP5  (5.0.16.5)

A fix is made to IBMJGSSProvider to add the microseconds
The associated Hursley CMVC defect is 200564
The associated Austin CMVC defect is 114746
JVMs affected: Java 5.0, Java 6, Java 626, Java 7 and Java 7R1.
The fix was delivered for Java 5.0 SR16FP5, Java 6 SR15FP1,
Java 626 SR7FP1, Java 7 SR6FP1  and Java 7 R1 SR1.
The affected jar is "ibmjgssprovider.jar".
The build level of this jar for the affected releases is
"20131009"
