* bos.net.tcp.client fileset at the 6.1.8.15 or 6.1.8.16 level.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* 7100-02 AIX DHCP server does not respond to the DHCP
* client's ip address request.
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV48325.
****************************************************************

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • UDP protocol code is modified to return the correct
receiver interface information to the application.
After this change, DHCP server was able to identify the
interface on which the request has come and able to send
the response on that interface.
