APAR status

Error description

  • An attempt to recover an XA transaction in WebSphere MQ fails
    with 2035 (MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED)
    
    The following can be seen in MQ server trace:
    
    Entity usr1 has insufficient authority to access object QMGR
    The following requested permissions are unauthorized:  dsp
    
    -----}! kpiEnquireTransactions rc=lrcE_NOT_AUTHORIZED
    ----}! zsqXARecover rc=lrcE_NOT_AUTHORIZED
    

Local fix

  • Grant +dsp authority to the user and issue the REFRESH SECURITY
    command on a queue manager.
    

Problem summary

    Users using XA in MQ 7.1 and 7.5
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    This problem occurred because of an additional authority check
    introduced in MQ 7.1 for enquiring transactions.
    

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere MQ code has been modified to correct the authority
    failure.
