APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When compiling with -qipa=level=0:inline=noauto -qipa=relink, the resulting link fails with unresolved symbol error. The error goes away if we remove the "-qipa=level=0:inline=noauto -qipa=relink" from the compile step.
Local fix

Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: Users using exception handling, that have mixed IPA and non-IPA objects in an archive may run into unresolved symbols during link time. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Unresolved symbol errors are emitted by the AIX linker when linking IPA compiled and non-IPA compiled objects with IPA enabled.
Problem conclusion
The compiler has been fixed to detect and handle the above case properly by choosing IPA definitions over definitions from shared objects.
