Error description

  • the part number import process does not import all part numbers.

It limits the import to license part numbers. Without modifying
the order history report to change 'reinstatement' to 'license'
or creating our own file with all part numbers marked as
'license' only a subset of the part numbers were actually
    imported into TAD4D.

Since the reinstatement part numbers were not imported properly,
the automated bundling process in TAD4D was not able to function
    properly.

As an example, in our order history report we show an order for
part number D523ZLL - IBM WebSphere MQ Processor License + SW
Subscription & Support 12 Months back in 2003. We have several
subsequent reinstatements for part number E00N5LL - IBM
WebSphere MQ Processor Annual SW Subscription & Support Renewal.
In 2007, this product was changed to a PVU based entitlement
and the part number changed to E0256LL - IBM WebSphere MQ
Processor Value Unit (PVU) Annual SW Subscription & Support
Renewal. This is the current product that is being discovered
by TAD4D. Since the part number import process only
imports 'License' type part numbers, the 'reinstatement' part
number 'E0256LL - IBM WebSphere MQ Processor Value Unit (PVU)
Annual SW Subscription & Support' was never imported. Since
this part number was not imported, TAD4D was not able to
properly bundle all of the MQ Client instances with IBM
    WebSphere MQ.

Had the part number import process worked properly and imported
'reinstatement' part numbers from the beginning, these types of
bundling issues would have been avoided.
