Error description

  • The machine asserted due to a recursive lock when processing
FC adapter events. The top of the stack may look like this:
    abend_trap+000000
    slock+000614
    disable_lock+0000C0
    sfwdProcessSciolEvent+000384
    efsc_scsi_async_notify+00012C

In addition, there will be a second less-favored interrupt
running on the same CPU that is currently somewhere
    in sfwdOfflvlEvents.

Problem summary

  • The machine asserted due to a recursive lock when processing
FC adapter events. The top of the stack may look like this:
    abend_trap+000000
    slock+000614
    disable_lock+0000C0
    sfwdProcessSciolEvent+000384
    efsc_scsi_async_notify+00012C

In addition, there will be a second less-favored interrupt
running on the same CPU that is currently somewhere
    in sfwdOfflvlEvents.

Problem conclusion

  • Modify interrupt level used for locking in the storage
framework driver to avoid possibility of a recursive lock.
