Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of MQ Publish Subscribe mechanism who migrate their queue manager from MQ v7.0.1 to MQ v7.1 or higher may experience this problem Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: When the pubsub daemon starts, it requests the currently retained publication for the streams supported topic, causing this message to be delivered to SYSTEM.BROKER.INTER.BROKER.COMMUNICATION. The fmiGetNext routine gets the message from this queue, requesting that it is converted to the codepage in use on the System. If the publication was last retained while the queue manager was running at 701, the publication is stored on the queue in the queue manager's CCSID and so must be converted to the codepage in use on the system. However if the queue manager is running a CCSID which has no supported conversion to/from system CCSID, the get returns MQRC_NOT_CONVERTED resulting in the PU524040 FDC and the inter broker communications task ends abnormally.
Problem conclusion
