Error description

  • Steps to replicate:

Tested on Base Services 7.1.1.6-LA20130116-0848 Build
    20091208-1415 DB
    Build V7116-173 HFDB Build HF7116-37

    1) Create a new pricing contract with vendor and the contract
    lines
    added

    2) Make sure that the vendor added does not have the
    corresponding
    record in an organization.
I tested with Company FSC who is only part of the ORG EAGLENA

    3) In the Purchase Contracts application when you select
    ?Authorize
Sites? option from Select Action menu the contract can be
    authorized for
the vendor in the site where it does not have the record at all
    such as
    in WOKING

    4) Add contract Lines to your Price contract

I added a ITEM - TSTWOKING that i created in Site WOKING- ORG
    EAGLEUK

    And APPROVED my Contract

    5) Went to inventory and brought up the above ITEM TSTWOKING

    6) Ran the REORDER on this Item

My Reorder Results is BLANK- NO PR get created

When you check in the Logs you will see the following Error:

    ?psdi.util.MXApplicationException: BMXAA3385E - The specified
    vendor is
    not valid.

Maximo should not have let to authorize site for the contract
    where
there is no vendor presence. This is causing the problem in the
    later
stage when the contract item is reordered.
