Error description
CICS Explorer V5.1 fails to connect to CICS VSE. Local fix
Problem summary
CICS Explorer V5.1 fails to connect to CICS VSE with the message: IZE0105E Connection failed with exception null In the code path for a VSE connection a Null Pointer Exception is generated. Because of the different code flow from the NPE the VSE connection is not attempted.
Problem conclusion
The fix adds guard code for a null reference which prevents the NPE. . This fix will be made available in Version 5.1.0.1 of the CICS Explorer. For installation instructions please see: Ordering maintenance for the IBM CICS Explorer http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21380083 .
