    The following APIs in java.nio.file.FileStore is failed when
    the file encoding is different from system encoding.
     - getTotalSpace()
     - getUnallocatedSpace()
     - getUsableSpace()

Local fix

  • Use file encoding same as system encoding.

Problem summary

  • Problem is caused due to ASCII to EBCDIC conversions not handled
    properly for native calls.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR5
    .
    JVM has been updated to address the encoding appropriately for
    the system call.

Temporary fix
