Problem summary

  • java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError is thrown when running a simple
    JRuby script with JRuby 1.7rc1 build because a backslash
    character (\) within a class name generated by JRuby was treated
    as an illegal character
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:

    backslash character (\) is treated as a legal character
