  • Error Message: The Hashtable.Entry.hashCode() returns incorrect
    value when run with -Djdk.map.althashing.threshold=1

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem was caused because the Hashtable.Entry.hashCode()
    API did not account for certain factors that are used for
    calculation of Hashtable.hash() when althashing property is
    used.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR4
    .
    The Hashtable.Entry.hashCode() API has been updated to ensure
    that it gives the correct values with or without althashing
    property.
