APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: When certain environment variables are set, the
    JVM does not start correctly.
    Instead, usage information is printed:
    $ export IBM_HEAPDUMP=false

Local fix

  • Do not use the affected environment variables.  Use -Xdump
    options instead.
    

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused during the parsing and configuration of
    the environment variables.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR4
    6.0.1 SR5
    .
    The JVM has been updated so the environment variables work
    correctly.
