APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: Java generates
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException even though an array
access is perfectly valid. (i.e. no exception is generated under
-Xint)

Local fix

  • Adding the following option -Xjit:disableLookahead might resolve
the problem.

Problem summary

  • Java generates java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException for a
valid array access. The problem is caused when optimizing array
accesses for final arrays, enumerators, etc.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
7.0.0 SR4
6.0.1 SR5
.
The JVM has been updated to to prevent the
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException from occurring
