APAR status

Error description

  • A XMS .NET client program would fail reading a xms message in
which th RFH2 header ends by a low value (x'00'). The exception
thrown is "CWSMQ0286E: An internal error occurred within method
ParseFolderUsr(string) The XMS .NET application run on a
WebSphere MQ Client for Windows Version 7.0.1.x with XMS .NET
Version 2.0.0.0 or above.

USERS AFFECTED:
All XMS .NET users who try to receive message that has RFH2
header content edited/provided to contain tailing charecters

Platforms affected:
Windows

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
XMS .NET application was failing when the observes that the RFH2
Header length is more than(including the tailing chars) than the
value specified by the length field of the Header property.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • We have made XMS .NET client to correctly process the RFH2
Header and it contents and avoid the tailing characters while
calculating the header/content length.
