APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In VIOS setup with SEA on loadsharing mode, multicast
packets
may cause increment on Hypervisor Send Failures, Transmit
Errors,
and Packets dropped on Inactive trunk adapter.

Local fix

  • No workaround but this error doesn't do any harm.

Problem summary

  • phyp to return H_PARAMETER and the trunk adapter to
increment Hypervisor Send Failure

Problem conclusion

  • SEA in load sharing mode,
Bridge only  multicast vlan tagged packet which are
supported by active trunk adapter.
