available, when channel is associated with files.

Problem summary


    

  • The problem is caused because the available API did not handle
the special case when channel is to a file.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR12
6.0.1 SR4
.
The JDK has been updated to handle the special case when the
channel is to a file so that the available API returns the
correct results.
