* Users of the AIX 6100-07 Technology Level with the vmo
* tunable "numperm_global = 1" set.
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* Paging of computational storage pages is occurring when a
* high percentage of memory is being used for the file cache.
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV26272.
* Prior to APAR availability, interim fixes are available at:
* ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/iv26272/
* IV26272s04 for 6100-07-04
* IV26272s05 for 6100-07-05

Problem conclusion


    

  • LRU processing changed to perform file only 4K page stealing
when 64K page size is at maxpin condition and there are 4K file
pages available to steal in the mempool.
