Error description

  • The 'PTA-A' project in Australia, do have vehicles for which
    the
    Odometer has been Reset.
It is required to reflect this action in Meter of those cars in
    MAXIMO.
It is possible to reflect this action in MAXIMO by using action
'Reset/Replace Meters' but with asset ACM this action do not
    work
    properly.

Here is what was used to do a meter reset : Please Note in order
    to use
'Reset/Replace Meters' on a ACM Asset, it was needed to insert
    value.
RESET value is not possible to add it as it is an internal value
required , but our view is that is was lacking from the initial
    setup
installing ACM industry solution, since Maximo app (ACM industry
solution Assets (CM) ) is actually expecting this value of RESET
    as a
INTERNAL VALUE (SYNONYMDOMAIN.MAXVALUE). MAXIMO Assets(CM) is
    expecting
the RESET value in its process, but the value RESET does NOT
    exist in
    the domain PLUSAREADINGTYPE

'RESET' in the synonym Domain 'PLUSAREADINGTYPE'.
    1) As you can see in this screen image (see Screenshot on
    ECUREP) the
new value for the Meter has
been stored in MAXIMO. However, for this transaction, there is
    no delta
value which was calculated by MAXIMO. Where as all rows below
    this row,
    do have a Delta value.
    2) On the rollover rows, i would have expect a delta value of
    '10,399'
which is the result of the following operation
    (2,100+999,999)-991,700=10,399

    1) Another meter value has been provided after the rollover was
applied to the meter and the result of the delta calculation is
    wrong.
    2) The delta should have been the result of the following
    operation
8,800-2,100=6,700 but the result is '-982,900'. This result
    would have a
impact on the PM remaining KM to go before a PM Work order
    generation
    take place.
Since the feature of Meter rollover does not worked as it
    should, there
is an impact on PM for which the Left Value become invalid.

I have done a test of Meter Rollover on a non ACM Asset and this
    feature
    work as expected.
Here is a dump of table 'meterreading' for 2 Assets. Asset
    'PAA17280' is
a non ACM Asset and meter values were tracked using action
    'Enter Meter
Reading'. Whereas asset 'UNIT-01' is an ACM asset and meter
    values were
provided from Direct Tab of the Asset view Tab.
From rows 1 to rows 11 concern asset 'PAA17280'. The Reading
    type is
'ACTUAL'. Value at rows 1 had been given using 'Reset/Replace
    Meters'.
Whereas rows from 13 to 26 concern asset 'UNIT-01'. The Value
    at row
12 had been given using action 'Reset/Replace Meters'.

Previously it was not possible to use meter rollovers with ACM
managed meters. This has been rectified.

Problem conclusion

  • ACM life usage algorithms modified to take into account
    rollover values.
