APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • When using the Human Task widgets, there may be an increase in
the amount of heap memory consumed over time as various
operations are performed in the widgets. Ultimately this could
result in an out of memory condition (heap memory exhaustion).

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Multiple sources of small memory leaks were discovered in the
human task widget code (objects being created from heap memory
and not being properly destroyed when no longer needed). These
leaks have been addressed with proper checking of object
references (when the reference and object is no longer needed)
to ensure that if there is an associated object, that the object
    is destroyed.

This issue affects users of WebSphere Process Server Version 6.2
    and Version 7.0.

The fix will be provided in future maintenance releases of
WebSphere Process Server V6.2 and V7.0.
