Problem summary

• User cannot turn off the informational messages in RAS1 log.
  
  
  Customer had Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager
  (TADDM) system which is regularly scanning nodes on the Tivoli
  Enterprise Portal Server and writes the following messages to
  the cq RAS1 log file. The user cannot turn this message off:

  'UNDETERMINED' executed on <node name> by SYSADMIN from  <ip
  address>
  
  In order for this APAR to be properly implemented in your
  environment, a new environment variable has been added.  See the
  "Install Actions" section of the APAR conclusion for more
  details.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed to add a new environment variable
  KFW_INHIBIT_OPSLOG_FROM_RAS that can be used to inhibit messages
  in the portal server RAS1 log. The messages will continue to be
  written to kfwservices.msg (operations log) and to the (sysout)
  <hostname>_cq_<decimal timestamp>.log files.
  
  Install Actions
  
  This APAR adds a new environment variable for controlling
  informational messages in the portal server log. Appendix E of
  the Installation Guide will be updated with the following
  information:

  KFW_INHIBIT_OPSLOG_FROM_RAS
  
  Value type
  Message identifier string
  
  Purpose
  Specifies a list of message identifiers not to be placed in the
  portal server RAS1 log. For example, if you want inhibit this
  message:
  
  KFW1353I Take action 'xxxxxxx' executed on <nodename> by
  <userid> from <ip address>
  
  Define the environment variable like this:
  
  KFW_INHIBIT_OPSLOG_FROM_RAS=KFW1353I
  
  If you want to inhibit multiple messages, specify them all with
  a blank space between each message identifier like this:
  
  KFW_INHIBIT_OPSLOG_FROM_RAS=KFW1353I KFW1010I KFW1100I
