Error description
The problem was observed on AIX only When ncp_ctrl receives SIGCHLD, it fails to process properly and tries to stop wrong process.

Problem conclusion
On AIX the PIDs use 26 bytes and are always even numbers. Code has been fixed to resolve the issue.
