IV22426: NIM -O SHOWLOG GIVES INCORRECT OUTPUT APPLIES TO AIX 7100-01

APAR status

Error description

  • nim -o showlog client_name does not always show the last
entry from the nim.installp log file.

Local fix

  • nim -o showlow -a full_log=yes client_name
full log listing will have all entries including
the very last entry which logically will be at the
very end.  Updates are appended to the end of the file.

Problem summary

  • nim -o showlog client_name may not show latest (last) log

Problem conclusion

  • Display the last log (default) no matter what is contained in
nim.installp log date field.
