Error description

• v3.8.0.75 - platform independent.
  
  ITM agent is very slow in moving data from local db(NCPOLLDATA)
  to Tivoli Data Warehouse(TDW) due to inefficient queries under
  getPolldata.pl

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * When ITNM is setup to have multiple pollers and ITM agent    *
  * instances it was causing these components performance to be  *
  * low due to table locks. There was to many processes trying   *
  * to do deletes, inserts and queries using committed reads on  *
  * pollData table causing table locks. These table locks would  *
  * cause a deterioration on performance because a SQL statement *
  * would be on wait until the lock is released.                 *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Replace the getPolldata.pl on <ITMDIR>/<platform>/np/bin or  *
  * update the ITM agent with the version that contains the fix. *

Problem conclusion

• When using the updated getPolldata.pl it will use uncommitted
  reads which don't lock the pollData table too often. The script
  also do a delete on chunks of 50 rows which cause less table
  locks because before it would do a large commit of up to 50000
  rows. These changes improved considerably the performance of the
  data transfer to Tivoli data warehouse
