with a high number of clients (around 100).

Local fix

  • Pass in -Xthr:secondarySpinForObjectMonitors as a JVM option.

Problem summary

  • This problem is caused due to a different internal lock
acquisition behavior when waking up from Object.wait(). It is
noticeable in applications which use wait/notify heavily.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
7.0.0 SR1
6.0.1 SR2
.
The JVM's lock acquisition algorithm was modified to avoid the
problem.
