Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
A queue manager using Pub/Sub can experience this symptom
especially when dealing with a large number of subscriptions.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
Within the queue manager, there is a background task which
cleans up the store of durable subscriptions. This task would
occasionally fail to operate correctly because of a certain
sequence of activity being performed in parallel by
    applications.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes were made to ensure that the background task is
robust in the case where it was previously failing to operate
    correctly.
