Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of WebSphere MQ 7.0.1 and 7.1 Pub/Sub Queue Manager
    Clusters.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When a partial repository joins a cluster, all cluster queue
manager definitions for the cluster will be forwarded if there
are topics shared in the cluster. The problem was caused by
including deleted topics to meet this criteria. If the only
topic references in the cluster are all deleted, then no
    propagation should have taken place.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is fixed by ensuring there is at least one topic
which is a member of the cluster (not deleted) before triggering
publication of other queue managers in the cluster to the newly
    added partial repository.
