APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It is possible that a cluster queue or queues can disappear
from some partial repository queue managers. This is caused
by the TO_BE_DELETED flag being left on for cluster queue
managers which are no longer in the cluster.
    .
    Additional symptoms/keywords:
    2087 MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR
    TO BE DELETED TBD

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of MQ Clustering. Error may happen when a Queue Manager is
removed from the cluster when the channel to that Queue Manager
    is running.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
If a Queue Manager is removed from the cluster while the channel
is to that Queue Manager is running the state of the cluster
queue manager in the cluster cache is incorrect. The entry is
marked as 'to be deleted' which causes subsequent processing of
    the entry to be incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • The cluster cache code has been changed to correct the 'to be
deleted' flag. Subscriptions to cluster queue managers marked
for deleting will also be remade
