Error description

  • Environment: Monitoring Agent for Linux OS 6.22

The Monitoring Agent for Linux OS collects performance
information for all available disks, also if there is not
    activity.

The environmente variable KLZ_SKIP_DISABLED_DISKS must be used
to skip these disks as well as in the Linux Disk IO Attribute
    Group.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The Linux OS Agent should filter inactive disks from data
collected for the Linux IO Ext and Linux Disk IO attribute
    groups.

The Linux OS Agent collects performance information for all
available disks even if there is no activity. Disabled disks
should be excluded from this data.

For this APAR fix to be effective, a new environment variable
has been added. See the Install Actions section of the APAR
    conclusion for more details.

Problem conclusion

  • Install Actions:

Disabled disks are now excluded from data collected for the
Linux IO Ext and Linux Disk IO attribute groups. This is
    determined by the KLZ_SKIP_DISABLED_DISKS attribute.

The fix for this APAR is included in the following maintenance
    vehicle:

       | fix pack | 6.2.2-TIV-ITM-FP0009 |
