Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users of distributed publish/subscribe.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
This was caused by the MQRC_Q_MGR_QUIESCING return code from an
MQOPEN call being ignored by the distributed publish/subscribe
    proxy sub task.

No checks were made on the queue object handle when MQPUT was
called, causing the amqzlaa0 agent process to SIGSEGV.

Problem conclusion

  • If MQRC_Q_MGR_QUIESCING is returned from an MQOPEN call it will
prevent the MQPUT call from being issued.
