APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When compiling, an internal assert error is thrown by the compiler's xlfcode stage with the following message: xlfcode: cw_breg.c:222: load_base: Assertion `wsp->mt == MT_AUTO || wsp->mt == MT_ARG' failed. In some cases, the following internal compiler error message may be seen instead: 1500-004 (U) INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR while compiling __<module-name>_NMOD_<subroutine-name>. Compilation ended. Contact your Service Representative and provide the following information: Internal abort. For more information visit: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21110810
Local fix
Re-structuring the order of the source code may work around the issue.
Problem summary
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The compiler is encountering an internal compiler error when code contains a forall which uses indirect load/store of an object through pointers or allocatables. USERS AFFECTED: Users of forall that have indirect load or store of an object through pointers or allocatables.
Problem conclusion
The compiler was fixed to take indirect load and stores into account when generating temporaries for the forall construct.
Temporary fix
