  • Device syslogs are filled with Authentication Failure messages
    when
    discovery is run,so the logs fill up quickly.Customer have 55
    SNMP community strings configured in the
    the domain.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Cisco router syslogs are filled with Authentication Failure  *
    * messages whenever discovery process is running, results in   *
    * creating an impact on network troubleshooting. It's because  *
    * CiscoStp and CiscoSwitchSnmp agent uses SNMP community       *
    * string indexing to query the Cisco router but the router     *
    * doesn't support it.                                          *
