Error description

  • The Monitoring Agent for UNIX OS kuxagent process generates
    high cpu usage when it copies a huge number of strings. This is
    related to process attribute group, using strncpy API

  • There is no local fix as it's at API level in code
    

Problem summary

  • The monitoring agent for UNIX OS kuxagent process generates high
    CPU usage when it copies a very large number of strings. This is
    related to the process attribute group using the strncpy API.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The agent now uses the strcpy API instead of strncpy where
    possible.
