IV05547: SOAP QUERIES DO NOT RETURN DATA FROM AGENTS CONNECTED TO RTEMS WHEN <TARGET> IS NOT SPECIFIED

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Problem : SOAP queries do not return data from agents connected
    to RTEMS when <target> is not specified or <target> *ALL_CMS is
    used.
    
    
    All OS platforms are impacted by this problem and it affects
    6.2.2FP4, 6.2.2FP5, 6.2.2FP6 MDVs.
    
    It is fixed starting from 6.2.2FP7 and 6.2.3 releases.
    
    
    The following query returns no rows but the query is success

    This can be created on any local environemnt. The logs are in
    ecurep (PMR 42181,001,866)
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • SOAP queries do not return data from agents connected to the
    remote monitoring server when <target> is not specified.
    
    
    SOAP queries to agents connected to the remote monitoring server
    do not return data if <target> is not specified in the query.
    
    A query like this one:
    
    <CT_Get>
    <userid>sysadmin</userid>
    <password>xxxxxx</password>
    <object>NT_Logical_Disk</object>
    </CT_Get>
    
    will return data only for agents connected to the Hub monitoring
    server and not for the agents connected to the remote monitoring
    server.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Proper handling logic and dispatching of the query to agents
    connected to remote monitoring server has been implemented to
    fix the issue.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    packages:

Temporary fix

  • Specify the <target> field in the query that contains the agent
    connected to the remote monitoring server.
