Problem summary
The boxing of primitive type was missing and hence when a type variable is inferred from a primitive type, javac use to fail.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.0 SR10 . JVM has been updated to address the javac failure. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20110817 or later
