IV00395: UNABLE TO CHANGE STATUS OF WORK ORDER TO INPRG OR SYNONYM THEREOF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Maximo allows a work order with tasks which have NO task
  IDs/numbers to
  be saved AND have its status changed to APPR, however, it does
  NOT allow
  the change to a status of INPRG or a synonym of INPRG
  
  
  Steps to Replicate
  
  Go to core WOT and insert a new work order record
  Go to Plans tab>Tasks, enter a new task row
  Row is created with field Task auto-pop, delete value and tab to
  description.
  NOTE the Task field does NOT have an asterisk i.e. NOT marked
  as required
  Enter a task description and Save NOTE the asterisk now appears
  for the
  task field
  Change the status of the work order to APPR, the status changes
  Change the status of work order to INPRG.
  Result: Error message thrown
  
  BMXAA4195E - the required field Task blank
  
  Try changing the work order to WAPPR, this IS allowed
  
  NOTE This issue occurs in CORE Work Order Tracking and is NOT
  replicable
  in environments that do NOT have Transportation installed.
