APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the HTTPRequest node is configured with the Follow HTTP(S)
    Redirection property enabled, the outgoing HTTP request does
    not include the Host HTTP header. This can result in errors such
    as HTTP 400 (Bad Request) or unexpected routing behavior on the
    server side.
    

Local fix

  • Disable Follow HTTP(S) Redirection property if its not
    required.
    

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V13.0.6.0 using the
    HTTPRequest node with 'Follow HTTP(S) Redirection' enabled.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    AIX, WinX64, LinuxPPCLE64, LinuxX64, LinuxZ64

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When the HTTPRequest node is configured with the Follow HTTP(S)
    Redirection property enabled, the outgoing HTTP request does
    not include the Host HTTP header. This can result in errors such
    as HTTP 400 (Bad Request) or unexpected routing behavior on the
    server side.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product now correctly sets the Host HTTP header when the
    Follow HTTP(S) Redirection option is enabled in the
    HTTPRequest node.
