APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrade Storage Protect server to Version 8.2, Operations
    Center users with status monitor enabled can run into issue that
    the db2 active log fill up and causes server to become hang or
    crash.
    Customer /Support diagnostics:
    
    
    1. Validate status monitoring is enabled with :
      query  monitorsettings
    2. The command "query Log" will show the log usage continues to
    increase
    3. The command "db2 GET SNAPSHOT FOR DATABASE ON tsmdb1" shows :
    
      Appl id holding the oldest transaction = 1370
    4. The command "show txn" shows transaction 1370 belongs to
    thread 207 :

    Set statusmonitor off
