Error description

  • Exceptions raised during the execution of database statements
    are not reliably propagated to the Exception List. This issue is
    particularly evident when inspecting the Exception List in the
    ACE Toolkit during debugging, or when using Trace nodes to
    capture exception details.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise versions 12 and 13 who
    connect to a database via ODBC.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    AIX, WinX64, LinuxPPCLE64, LinuxX64, LinuxZ64

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Database exceptions raised during the execution of database
    statements are not reliably propagated to the Exception List
    generated within ACE. This issue mostly occurs when the returned
    error message is very large and complex or sometimes exceeding
    512 bytes.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been updated such that database diagnostic
    messages that are very large and complex or exceed 512 bytes are
    now correctly handled and displayed in the Exception List
    generated within ACE.
