APAR status

Error description

  • When a message flow is created and packaged under a static
    library, the Trace node fails to generate the configured trace
    log file at runtime.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V12.0 and V13.0 who
    configure Trace nodes in message flows that are packaged under a
    static or shared library.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    LinuxPPCLE64, LinuxZ64, AIX, WinX64, LinuxX64
    
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When a message flow containing a Trace node is deployed inside
    an application, the Trace node generates the configured log file
    as expected.
    However, if the same message flow is packaged under
    a static library or shared library, the Trace node does not
    create the configured log file at runtime, even though the
    message flow executes successfully without any errors.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been modified so that Trace nodes packaged under
    static or shared libraries create the configured trace log files
    at runtime.
