APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User is testing PCOMM v16 (64bit) and during the test, they have
    
    done a file transfer using IND$FILE from z/OS going to their PC.
    
    
    The problem is that when they want to delete the file in the PC,
    
    the file seems to be still used/locked by the PCSWS.EXE process,
    
    so they cannot delete it, but only until they close all the
    PCOMM sessions.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Steps to recreate the problem
    
    
    1. Create new 3270 session
    2. Login to ispf screen
    3. Receive any file from host (IND$FILE transfer)
    
    4. Delete the received file
    
    Error: File cannot be deleted
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code Changes has been done in PCSXFER module to handle the
    delete operation.
