APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The user upgraded Pcomm from V14.0.x to V15.0.3, then they found
sometime the "Copy Append" function does not work.
If you already has a single character in your clipboard and try
to use the "Copy Append" function, this function does not work.
This problem impacts both the Menu option(Edit->Copy Append) and
the Macro.

Problem summary


    

  • Below are the Steps to recreate the problem:
 1.Start any 5250 or 3270 sessions.
 2.On the terminal screen, select a single character, then go
to the menu and click Edit -> Copy.
 3.Select another string on the screen, then click Edit ->
Copy Append.
 4.Paste the clipboard contents into a text editor (Edit ->
Paste)
 5.The appended characters are not copied to the clipboard.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code Changes has been done in PCSEDIT module to handle the copy
append logic.
