APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A LU1 host print is generated from IMS and directed to PDF
output format over a 3270 Printer Session. After the host print
job completes, the Printer Session window contents contains
garbage data. Resizing of the session window causes the data on
the screen to be refreshed and restored to the normal contents.

The PDF print output file is OK. Only the Printer Session window
contents are corrupted.

Local fix

  • Resize the Printer Session window to force a repaint of the
data.

Problem summary

  • While performing a HOST Print, when "Show this dialog before
every print" checkbox is enabled in the Printer Setup dialog, it
re-displays the screen and shows print output data on the
printer session screen.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSWS.EXE has been changed to ensure the display for the printer
session does not change after performing the Host Print.
