APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After upgrade Operations Center to v8.1.26,  the client update
  screen doesnt detect all eligible candidates
  
  
  Customer Support diagnostics:
  
  
  1: After upgrade Operations Center to v8.1.26, the client
  update window doesnt see all the eligible candidates.
  
  
  2: During daily package auto deploy, the following warning was
  logged in the hub actlog:
  
  
  04/29/2025 08:08:12 ANR3780I Replication of client update
  packages started to server SPOKE1 . (PROCESS: 69)
  04/29/2025 08:08:12 ANR3769W Replication of client packages for
  client updates to monitored server, SPOKE1, was skipped.
  
  
  Spoke1 was enabled for package deploy

Comments

• Please follow the procedure before using client deploy feature
  in Hub/Spoke in 8.2.1
  
      1. please run the following command
          query option clientdeploycatalogurl , and verify the
  option is set to
  "https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/ca
  talog/client/catalog.json"
  		otherwise set the option using the command
  	    setopt clientdeploycatalogurl
  https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/cat
  alog/client/catalog.json
  
      2. For each spoke server configued on HUB, please run the
  folowing command on HUB to fecth the latest bitmap from spoke?
                PING SERVER <SPOKE SERVER>.
  
      3. On Hub please run the following to start client
  deployment
  		REF PKG CLEAN=YES
  
       4.   If you still see the replication failure to spoke
  message like the one below.
          	?ANR3769W Replication of client packages for client
  updates to monitored server, SERVER-01, was skipped.?
  
               Please re-start HUB server.
